I’m trying to apply for a smart card, but it is impossible to do so on Home Affairs’ website.
They want everyone to get one, but make it impossible to do so.
What an absolute joke of a country this is.
The other day while driving and using Google Maps, I got a “police ahead” warning twice, and in both instances there was a mobile speed camera at the location.
It also said “as reported by Waze users” on the screen.
When I traded in my old iPhone last year, it was still in mint condition and working perfectly, so I almost got the exact amount their estimated value on the website indicated - they deducted R1200 from it because the battery health was 79%. If it was 80%, I would have received the full amount.
My take on the new software - it looks great on iPad, also cool on Mac, okay on iPhone, underwhelming on Watch.
I have mixed feelings - on the one hand a new look is always cool and refreshing, but some of the visual aspects are not that great. Some of the icons now feel, dare I say it...
Also no 26 available on my Macbook yet, but it has been like that many times in the past (with previous updates)
Still working on my Mac tonight, so will leave updating for later in the week anyway.
Servers seem slow, which is expected, but it might also be because of the fibre internet problems over the last few days.
Nevertheless, updating my iPad first, will maybe try my iPhone later.
Normally I wait for x.1 updates, but with iOS 18 being the sh*t show that it was, I can’t wait to jump...
Question for those on iOS 26 already - does Call Screening work with private numbers too, or only with numbers that show but not saved in your contacts?
I think it’s high time for Apple to release a Cloth 2, in multiple colors. Imagine a cloth in the new Cosmic Orange.
Has the cloth been updated to USB-C yet?
