I'm also looking for more information on this. I've mailed a few companies, but in true SA customer service style, no one gets back to a person.
This is the specs for the solar input, suggesting to me it can take at least 3 x 500w panels. But I'm not too clued up on how to read this and what...
This seems accurate. I would say minimum 4 hours for a proper charge. The first charge out the box it seemed to charge most of the night, but from there it has only been top up charges.
Thanks for the detailed info.
I wish! We have load shedding, and when the power is off the water also disappears. Yesterday we sat with no power for almost 36 hours, and it's becoming a more frequent thing that the power stays off longer.
Were you wanting to do this because your old Mecer has solar panels connected?
I'm also looking for panels for the 3kw.
We sat with no power for 36 hours yesterday, and it's happening more frequently. Could at least use this unit to power fridge.
I received my 3kw unit on Friday 12 May, and started using it on Saturday. It took me a very long time to decide on buying an inverter, party because of specs, partly because of how some of these other inverters are put together. Some of them are just a wall mounted unit on top of a battery box...
It's essentially a freestanding plug and play unit. So like you described, put the unit down, power it up and run extensions to the devices you want to power.
But I know of people who have wired similar even smaller units into the DB board, given that you don't run any really power hungry items...
That is a lot! Yeah they are bound to have another sale.
How do you see what they have left?
I'm getting mine tomorrow then I'll give some feedback. Seems like everyone else is happy with theirs.
Aaaah no... there was like 4 units left and the special ended. So they sold like 13 units today. I managed to grab one after looking at sooooo many other units.
I hear you. This is how many of these companies catch people by not giving the right specs to people like me that don't understand it fully.
Like on the Takealot info for this unit they make it seem like this it will easily run bigger devices like a washing machine, which is what I need to be...
Xiphan... have connected any bigger devices like a microwave, washing machine or your coffee maker to your inverter yet? Curious to know how it performs. Also looking at getting this unit after looking at so many others. There's a whole bunch of really **** units out there and people are getting...
