Is this related to the same issue that caused the wonky DNS to Akamai this past weekend?

I switched my DNS to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1). It now resolves to an mweb hosted cache in CPT. Watching in HD again. Server: one.one.one.one Address: 1.1.1.1 Non-authoritative answer: Name: a1075.w16.akamai.net Addresses: 197.84.130.18 197.84.130.19 197.84.130.8...

DStv Now. Why is it going to Brazil?! Yes, I'm using CISP's DNS servers. Earlier during the match it was using a local Akamai server. tracert r-live-cache.akamaized.net Tracing route to a1075.w16.akamai.net [2.16.188.193] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1...

Seems most Cloudflare sites are routed to London at the moment. Their website isn't reporting any issues, though. Tracing route to mybroadband.co.za [104.20.9.169] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1 2 2 ms 6 ms 2 ms 155.93.169.1 3 3 ms...

    Yeah, seeing the same. 104.20.10.169 is Cloudflare, so we should be local. Tracing route to mybroadband.co.za [104.20.10.169] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1 2 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 155.93.152.1 3 * 23 ms 26 ms...

The outage last night/this morning also got to me... Nothing on their Status page. No response on Social Media. Nothing here... Seriously? Don't the engineers have access to that page just say: "We are aware, chill!"? Come on, Cool Ideas! Don't start letting me down after 3 years.

    Web Hosts dislike Subdomains?

Okay, fair enough. But, surely the host can monitor things out of the ordinary. They have their "fair use policies" But, here we are, already have 1TB of storage (of which we use maybe 10%?), "unlimited bandwidth" but only 20 subdomains. Still does not explain how reseller accounts can give...

    Web Hosts dislike Subdomains?

Exactly! As I said, I accept storage, bandwidth and even resource limits. But, limiting subdomains seems very archaic.

    Web Hosts dislike Subdomains?

But I can get reseller hosting and that gives me unlimited everything! But, get your point... They also don't always advertise these limits, or later claim that number of hosted domains = subdomains...

    Web Hosts dislike Subdomains?

What are shared hosting providers' aversion to subdomains? I understand basing packages around space, bandwidth, database space, what have you. But, why limit the number of subdomains I can create? (or email accounts?) Especially if it's some ridiculous low number... Some hosts I've contacted...
