    Ah damn, no I missed out on the airpods -- they quietly disappeared as I was going through checkout -- so probably missed out on the first batch of phones then too

    Yeah, I should've just done the same. One second there were Airpods added to my order and the next they weren't. Took a good 45mins to sort payment out etc etc. Not a great or confidence-building experience at all

    That's exactly what I understand preordering to mean too. And you're right that I'm annoyed, especially since for later istore preorders, the estimated delivery time was pushed forward -- meaning they had to have some idea of the amount of incoming stock. Not sure that making any noise now...

    A little bummed at this message. Don't quite see the point of preordering if it means you end up waiting for wider availability or more stock anyway 🤷‍♂️ For context: I placed this order last Friday about an hour or so after preorders opened
