    Thanks for all the input so far. From what I can see so far, the only reason one would not use Discovery's Gap cover is a pricing concern.

    Completely agree that we shouldn’t actually need Gap Cover, but the unfortunate fact is that the private medical landscape in SA almost forces it. Why is it not a good idea to have it at Discovery though?

    I completely understand the sentiment, I just haven't heard any substantial stories of where they did not pay out where another gap cover would have. Do you perhaps know of any?

    Hi all I’ve seen quite a few posts saying to avoid Discovery’s Gap Cover if you have Discovery’s Medical Aid, but without offering any explanation. What would the reason be not to go with them? Is it a pricing issue? Do they not cover so much? Crucial exclusions? Thanks!
