Big fan, but mostly just felt the article was misleading. As long as the battery is reliable and power my different devices it gets my nod. My 2nd choice would probably be Varta, but they are not available in many stores.
This experiment compares lithium chemistry to Alkaline chemistries, so the conclusion is not that relevant and very misleading. Duracell has upgraded their Plus range, has a premium Ultra range, and as of July has a new Duracell Optimum range. So, based on this test it looks like Duracell's 4th...
Try the new Duracell Optimum. It launched this month and is intelligent, new technology that either gives a device Extar Life or Extra Power depending on the device. Mind blown! Google it...
I agree that the test is irrelevant, not comparing apples with apples. I have never heard of Alphacell, but know that Duracell has an upgraded Plus, a premium Ultra tier and now Duracell Optimum which launched in July. So, in fact, this test shows that Duracell's 4th best Alkaline battery...
You're right, you would expect Lithium chemistry to outperform Alkaline with current tech. Most of the Duracell batteries in South Africa are produced in Belgium, with a few produced in Malaysia and the USA.
