Thanks! They're actually surprisingly easy to do, even if they are small.

    Scale modelling

I've finished 3 little planes: Trumpeter 1/350 TBD Devastators. I found other decals and did a little bit of custom painting to get three specific aircraft. It's hard work at that scale, but most of the painting was masked and airbrushed. The canopy frames and a few other bits were brush...

Chinese cars, are they as bad as everyone thinks?

I would have thought that, given the name, the Monjaro would be a bit slimmer...

Capitec bank app scanning my phone and dictating apps i'm allowed to have

My FIL literally got saved by this. He got scammed (persuaded into installing a remote control app), and they got a few K from his Nedbank account, but the FNB app would not open.

Mweb email migration has critically failed

I've just been helping someone with Mweb email issues. Lots of her email wasn't coming in. I get on to her webmail, and send test emails from Gmail 1 goes through, the others never show up. I try to sign her up on their stupid Antispamcloud which needs a whole different password; the password...

    The official running thread™

It varies. In places, yes, but many sections have plants, ground cover, rocks, little fences, etc. Impossible to run on a pavement there.

Completed, the Octopus 1/72 IMAM Ro.43 seaplane biplane. The Ro.43 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMAM_Ro.43) was one of a line of Italian seaplanes used for reconnaissance in WW2, and this particular one was flown off the Eugenio di Savoia light cruiser in 1942. The kit itself is terrible, one...

Chinese cars, are they as bad as everyone thinks?

What about tar roads though? Just as risky.

I see there are a bunch of similar ones on Takealot too, at varying prices.

Temu. Came with a stack of bits too. The tiny bits break really easily, but I guess it's to be expected.

    The official running thread™

Yesterday I twisted my ankle right after the start of parkrun, and did a spectacular tumble-roll. I iced it and took Mybulin, so the ankle was only a little tweaky today. I did Old Eds 10K (hah- 10.25km!) this morning, coming in at 57:47, which makes it my fastest 10K race ever, and my my...
