IP Address hijacked - DSTV think I'm not in South Africa.

My wife was driving me nuts. So while dstv and accelerit twiddle their thumbs I did find a solution. Now she can catch up in Binnelanders :-) Thanks again to all the broadbanders for your help.

IP Address hijacked - DSTV think I'm not in South Africa.

The IP I got from accelerit.co.za Service Provider is supposedly found at Port Louis, in (MU) - Mauritius. And it is allocated to ISP: African Network Information Center But I'm in Cape Town , South Africa. These details are available on https://www.iplocation.net/ Just a pity I cannot seem to...

IP Address hijacked - DSTV think I'm not in South Africa.

Great work! Thanks guys. I just checked, and my ip address is in a new block now. Was 102.132 and now in the 102.212 block since 21 May. I'll just switch of my CPE when I leave for the weekend, and hope that when I start it on Sunday I get a new IP.

IP Address hijacked - DSTV think I'm not in South Africa.

Hi There. I'm battling with a very weird problem. Me -> Vumatel -> Accelerit Fibre Connection I've had fibre for a good few years now, never any problems. On 21 May I had to reboot my router - no internet - since then dstv think I'm overseas. If I try to login to dstv.com it says nope - you...

Dear DStv - technical faults thread

Is this a technical fault, or is it the DSTV NOW App that is just slow or stupid? See attached picture - It seems as if Dstv Now App (on purpose) only show me what is next up and currently on, on channels I do not watch...

Router suggestion for classroom - 30 wifi connections

Thanks for all the feedback! We are going to put a fibreline in the classroom. ...However... We still need a router. But since we're not using LTE anymore, the spec has changed. Will post the result whenever I'm finished. Cheers and happy new year Clothahump.

Router suggestion for classroom - 30 wifi connections

The classroom doubles as a Cricket Clubhouse, and does not have LAN and only limited Wifi reception. (too far)

Router suggestion for classroom - 30 wifi connections

900 students in the school! I would rather concentrate on 30 in one class, than having to keep tabs on all 900. Or should I alter my mindset?

Router suggestion for classroom - 30 wifi connections

We have Vumatel in the area, and I believe the tower is less than a stone's throw from the vumatel line.

Router suggestion for classroom - 30 wifi connections

Well, I was hoping MTN can tell me what is the best line speed they can offer. There is a mtn tower on the schoolgrounds. But i'm having difficulty in contacting the right person to talk to. I've tried getting a mtn contact email or number from these mtn popup stores, but no luck sofar. Also MTN...

Router suggestion for classroom - 30 wifi connections

I like the idea of having two AP's But was hoping to use the router's "guest" AP, to make it look like there is two. Also will have a whitelist, so only certain sites can be visited. I love the idea of a tri-band router, will have to see if there can be 2 2.4's and one 5? Since most students...

Router suggestion for classroom - 30 wifi connections

Thanks for the feedback. However, I'm trying to get along with only one router, and the Ubiquiti's you suggest seems to be an very good wifi-receiver, but no place for sim card or usb slot. So i'd still need a router to drive it? This is more of a proof of concept. One class. I'll have a look...

Router suggestion for classroom - 30 wifi connections

Hi there. I'm looking at a LTE solution for a classroom with 30 students. 1. Need a router that can handle 30 wifi connections - some 2.4 and some 5.8 GHz 2. Need a whitelist/blacklist on router - to stop facebook etc. 3. We have a MTN tower on school grounds - therefore planning to go with MTN...

(The one here on mybroadband) https://mybroadband.co.za/news/internet/356371-here-is-the-full-list-of-zero-rated-websites-in-south-africa.html I cannot figure out how to confirm that it is really zero-rated for...
