I have zero wired connections on my router. TV, PC and laptops are all wireless. I do get the full 100/100 Mbps speeds from time to time on speed tests, however more often than not I get slower speeds, and sometimes I get horrible results.
Vox did my setup as well, I have two wifi networks...
I had a suspicion from the start that this "promotion" was just a way for Vumatel to test if their infrastructure will be able to handle the excess volume of traffic in case they decide to offer permanent speed upgrades to be more competitive in the market. However I think it backfired since I...
I have been with Vox for many years, since the ADSL days and never had issues. Went onto Vumatel with Fibre and network has been stable for the most part, maybe some connection issues once or twice a year. Been in the new house now for just over a year and no issues, also Vumatel and Vox. My...
How are you guys experiencing the new upgraded speeds so far? Have to say my experience has not been great. After initially testing 100Mbps, then 70-80 a day later, I couldn't even stream the F1 last night whilst my GF was streaming Netflix. Had to stop Netflix just so I could watch the F1...
Did a speed test last night and got 100/100Mbps so my line speed has been doubled, however had bad packet loss in online gaming. Did multiple tests now and constantly getting 70-80/85-95Mbps. Don't know if they throttling back to increase quality, will do some gaming and see.
Got the email from Vox earlier today. Didn't notice any speed difference last night. Will check tonight when I get home... here's to hoping the networks can handle the extra volume and they decide to make the increases permanent...
I mentioned this a week or 2 ago in this thread, the inside info I got from Vox specifically mentioned that the reduced prices are "NEW SELLING" prices and that the existing customers' bills will NOT be changed / reduced. Either way lets wait and see, but I don't see them reducing it. LIke I...
I have the same router at home and it definitely is 12-30Vdc input range. I use this:
Gizzu 8800mAh Mini UPS
The only stupid thing is the splitter cable it comes with is VERY short. What I did was buy extension cables from a 4x4 shop, was like R20 a cable. I run both my ONT and router of it and...
I am on Vox. Like I said, not sure if it is true, only what I heard from someone not connected to Vox so might not be true. I am also considering downgrading as the 20/20 is more than enough, although with 50/50 I could actually watch 4k content on Netflix on my QLED tv... so maybe I'll wait and...
I am in the exact same boat as you. I am also on 20/20 paying R899pm. We will be upgraded to 50/50 at no additional cost, so from 1 July R899pm for 50/50. You can downgrade to 20/10 (20/20 package falls away) and pay R699pm, BUT from what I understand you have to pay a fee to downgrade, I have...
