/r/southafrica mods are some powertripping dumb twats... they love hauling out stats of unique monthly visits and membership numbers, but a lot of the time the first page sorted by new has 2-3 days' worth of posts. Really hmm... all that traffic, and maybe 5-10 new posts a day, of which about...
jesus man, what area was this in?
you stole from their grannies? and granny didn't take it from nobody did she. it's interesting how land-"theft" memory works
It's not sad, it's realistic. What's sad is people that use their children as a pension plan. What's sad is the amount of financial burden old people put on their families thinking it's somehow their right to do so.
Guilt, or avoidance thereof, can be a solid motivator of assistance.
About half an amp (electronics).
They actually have 5 kW versions available

(I have to mention my one came with double battery cables, so it has two thick cables with single heads for each lead)
Got a portable-type pure sine inverter (3KW). If I use smaller capacity LiFePo batteries the inverter barely makes any noise at all. But if I hook it to the 100AH then it starts making a crackly hum under the same load. What's going on? is it likely the battery or inverter?
Not really, blenders are high wattage so would quickly drain it. Also motors want pure sine.
So you'd want something with bigger storage capacity and pure sine output.
Ok well now we have an answer, it was simply a bs promise. currently being loadshedded right according to stage 2 for the third time while loadshedding is "suspended"
How are they able to so confidently predict what they're doing on Monday from Friday when normally they don't know from one day to the next what's going to happen.
Do they go to each unit and beg it to not break down or be sabotaged just for the day?
it won't be wired into the DB, must just work as a standalone solution that a 3-pin plug can work with.
some links for products would be appreciated :) I'm looking at sunsynks and they seem quite pricey
Sorry if this is a dumb question. So if I want to just run during the day off solar, no batteries. if I buy a panel what else am I gonna need before I can use a normal plug for 220VAC from the panel?
