I'm not sure if this is from my side (browser extension maybe or what), but this happened the other day when trying to access YouTube. And now again I can't seem to access YouTube:
Any ideas?
Seems to work on my phone, so maybe it's some extension.
Edit: Now it is working again with no change...
Yes, I charged to 80% at 04:00am yesterday, and 31 hours later I am sitting on 36% battery. Now I can again manage 2 days with 80% charge. I will only charge tonight again. Thank you all and @Afrigirl for your constant feedback.
Is there any feedback on this? I can't even get a a proper day's use at all now. I got home to 20% battery remaining at around 17:30, and now I checked and it was on 1%. Back on charge.
It's not the APN settings themselves, that is just the configuration used to access the internet. The issue here is to do with the IP address being assigned. Basically, the IP is not behind any firewall and your phone never sleeps because all traffic that would be blocked is now hitting your...
This may seem like overkill, but I don't know what to do here. Keeping track throughout the day and not using my phone; I've done hourly measurements under different scenarious. Now 4% an hour may not sound like a lot, but if you sleep for 8 hours, that is 32% battery down while phone is idle...
I am definitely worried now about my non-legacy SIM also., it's been almost two hours and I am down from 32% - 18%. Something is cooking. I will restart my phone and then put it back on charge again. Only thing I can think of is now I have data on my non-legacy number - previously it had no data.
I don't know what is going on. Again, I lost 21% in 4 hours last night (while on legacy SIM APN).
Now I've configured it not to use that APN, and also switched to the non-legacy SIM. Now I'm paranoid about my non-legacy one also as my battery seems like it is still draining fast - whereas it...
Thanks @Afrigirl - will see how it goes now. Sorry for giving you a headache.
BTW, I do have 2 Afrihost numbers - the legacy (MTN SIM), and my number that I ported from Telkom - in case it causes any confusion.
Yes, I am draining. As long as I have the afrihost APN selected on the legacy SIM, then I am draining. I have tried multiple "scenarios". Set my non-legacy SIM as my data SIM in phone all while being connected to WiFi - yip, but if the legacy SIM is turned on and the afrihost APN selected, it...
I'm not sure, my battery is seemingly again going down fast. Was fine, but not so anymore. This could be placebo but I've been losing 4.5%/h while screen off - this is very high for my phone. I'm trying out my non-legacy sim now to test.
But I tested yesterday and today, unless I'm doing something wrong, when I ping the IP I just get "request timed out". But my battery is draining:
I'm probably just doing something wrong though.
Yip, still an issue. Tested 2 hours on myMTN APN or whatever it is, lost 1% battery in 2 hours. Currently 1 hour 20 minutes into testing using the Afrihost APN and already lost 6% battery, so no use continuing test. Did not use phone to make sure I don't drain the battery further with active use.
