Don't feel the need to read the sequel to "The Forever War" ("Forever Free"). It's one of those that was probably pushed by a publisher.
"Gateway", by Friderik Phohl is good.
I’m done with with the “First Contact” series (Peter Cawdron).
Not sure if it’s just bad luck but the first three out of 27 had protagonists with amnesia. It got old.
Currently reading “The Forever War”, which I’m enjoying although the dates are jarring.
