South Africa's anti-spam register is at an advanced stage of development, and consumers can now register

I contacted dmasa and asked what if i wanted to be contacted by certain shops. Turns out this is all or nothing. I also contacted Icasa, who pushed me to dmasa, who pushed me to info regulator, which never bothered to answer. Seems like they have endless supply. Long number. My problem is i...

We just not going to talk about Afrihost and Gallo manor issues?

Eventually looks like we found issue. My fibre IP ended up on firewall blacklist due to multiple wrong email password attempts. It was whitelisted and all is well. Although it raises the questions. Why would our emails on phones all of sudden just loose their password overnight . Causing...

We just not going to talk about Afrihost and Gallo manor issues?

i'm having a bit of a problme with my emails as well at Afrihost. I narrowed it down to my fibre connection, which is with Telkom Fibre. Whenever i'm on the fibre, I can't connect to my emails. Fibre is fine. Typing this message on the fibre.. youtube, netflix , instagram... all working. But...

Four ISPs are selling Cybersmart's symmetrical 1Gbps FTTH package for under R800 per month

I hardly download big files. Occasionally the kids download big games on Playstation, and 100gb takes about an hour or so or maybe longer, but they'll just be on their phones while they wait. And i think this would be the scenario for most average household.

Four ISPs are selling Cybersmart's symmetrical 1Gbps FTTH package for under R800 per month

Does your average home really need 1gig? I was on 50mb with vodacom at R800, and then moved to telkom 40mb at R500. Family of 5 , all on devices in the evening, netflix on tv. Very occasionally see stutter, but overall we doing just fine,

So while i was on leave in Jan, HP came to replace motherboard. Since then, spawn of satan has been exorcised , and all is well in the land. No more visual studio crashes, or overall more stability. Mind you it's just been a week, but I'm optimistic :)

    Vodacom H 500-S fibre router

Got this router as part of contract with vodacom. I fell for their sales pitch too. But now i want to use this router to get better connectivity in my room. Lan cable connection to fiber router (via small hub since telkom fiber router only has one port working on their contract ). Dhcp...

    HP Laptop possessed

Some good news. I don't have bitlocker installed, but maybe HP does by default, so i just left TMP as is. After the re-install from cloud again, I updated the BIOS, on it's own, after the HP diagnostics software did not pickup a need to update. I also updated / installed a whole bunch of...

    HP Laptop possessed

@kolaval I have tried that option in previous restore attempts. GPT suggested rather install drivers driver direct from Intel, not HP, which i did. but to no avail. I have also tried disabling hardware acceleration, but normally just disabled it via Tools->Options. No help there either...

    HP Laptop possessed

I bought the laptop with extra ram, and at first i thought it was ram that was the prblem. It was luckily two different brands of RAM, so it removed the compatibility issues with a certain brand. I ran laptop with only one RAM stick in place at a time, and same VS crashing Then HP sent me a...
