It is actually to me not about faster speeds but more about how this product was marketed as targeting lower median income area's with a product that was build from ground up to for this purpose now we are getting much less value for our money compare to Vuma core and other FNO's and Vumatel...
Go on Cell C say get fibre punch in your Vuma Reach address and see what options come up. Pay close attension to uploads and downloads for packages and prices. I will remain hopefull.
I fully agree with you on this, it is becoming like the old status quo where supposed lower income areas pay more for less example we had to pay for 4g products that is priced higher then people with access to fibre now we have access to fibre with limited package options and yet we are starting...
This is actually a network design issue as GPON has got it's pro's and con's with a con being download/upload ratios. The max speed is something that I think Vuma is cautiously approaching.
How do I say this, you are gonna be informed that you can't get metrofibre, this is the exact same case as the people who thought they could get Supersonic packages with higher speeds
It might be the case of "cheaper is not always better"I myself are with Webafrica and and lucky to not have alot of outages because support service sucks where as I know that Afrihost has excellent support.
