Government considering new RAF tax because of EVs: Creecy

I saw the funniest thing this past Monday. A lady and primary School son were crossing the road, she just looked straight ahead and started crossing the road, her son stopped at the pavement because he saw a car approaching, the car moved into the other lane so as not to knock down the lady, who...

The personal information revealed when security guards scan South African driving licences

Atleast the driver's licence data is encrypted though, the data on the Id card is not. Maybe they had a good idea with the Id card though in that one barcode only contains your ID number and nothing else, whilst the other contains almost everything printed on the card.

Advice Needed: ISP accepted 31 March cancellation but holding Openserve line until end of April

If your new ISP can give you PPPoe details, that should still work on the existing fibre line, openserves fibre works just like ADSL used to work.

South Africans shifting away from physical SIM cards

On vodacom when I upgraded my phone I found out that an existing esim cannot be transferred to a new phone and I needed to pay for a SIM swap, so I just got a normal SIM card instead.

Icasa wants strict new regulations for individual licensees' shareholding changes

What we really need is strict new regulations on how government spends our tax money.

Municipality paid R11 million for service which should be free

I dont care too much about this dude, if you are dumb enough to pay 11million for services which can obtained for relatively free then the question should be who awarded this, and should they at the least not be fired for being incompetent.

    Vodacom Fibre

Did I mention that vodacom will supply you with a Nokia router with a built in ont that you won't have access to. Whilst with any other isp, vodacom supplies a seperate ont and you can use the isps router or your own.

    Vodacom Fibre

With vodacom as an isp I got my full speed all of the time and my internet was very stable, only had 1 weekend of downtime with them. I moved from vodacom as an isp because vodacom the fno became open access and I wanted to not have to keep monitoring my internet usage to ensure I stay within...

    Vodacom Fibre

I paid the R910 and when canceling after 11 months they wanted me to pay in about R600 more to cancel. This was on month to month. Cancelation after 12 months required no pay in. Also supersonic is the cheapest on vodacom fibre, they have no fup.

    Vodacom fibre's horrendous service

Supersonic, cool ideas, home-connect and accelerit can make use of vodacom fibre network in most areas.

    Vodacom

I tried to cancel a year ago in month 11 of a month to month contract, they wanted to charge me around R600. I paid the installation fee of R910 upfront. I was on the 10/5 for R700 per month.

Vodacom Fibre: Throttling / Poor Oversea Traffic?

Not sure if this would help you any but here's my speed tests. Vodacom is my fibre provider with accelerit being my isp on a 20/10 line

Cancelling Vodacom Fibre - tricked into 12 month contract?

I must say the internet using vodacom as an isp and fno was good for me. Speeds were always what I was paying for. Just that fup was the reason I canceled. I was ask to pay R600 for the router because I wanted to cancel after 11 months on a month to month subscription. I had payed for the...
