One of the bad parts of Cape Town. The power came back last night and now we hoping it stays on. I was able to call Eskom yesterday and they confirmed it was part of a wide outage.
I'm not sure who to be mad at. Power goes out Friday as cables were falling. Power comes back Saturday night and then goes out after 10 minutes. This time a pole was on fire. Power comes back Sunday afternoon for about 4 hours then boom. Everyone heard whatever that was and no power again. Power...
I had to pay R2 extra this morning. The increases are between R2 and R3 per trip depending on the route. That's going to be tough for most especially if you need to take 2 taxis just to get to work.
In some parts of Cape Town, taxi fares prices are going up from today. This was announced before in last week before the May increases were announced. I wonder how long before it increases again.
Same. The ways shacks are popping up, my area will be a township soon. I don't want to be stuck with a bond then the area goes south. Ill either have problems selling or make a loss.
Would you try this now? Buying a house in a township then selling. I can buy a house in the area where I live but wouldn't do it. The field behind our house was empty for years. I played soccer on that field when I was younger. Its now filled with shacks with uncapped electricity.
That was my biggest worry at the start but my stop is close to the end. Ill mostly wake up while we still on the N2 and just stay awake until I have to get off. I've fallen asleep in a taxi before too but they drive rubbish so you cant get any deep sleep.
