Ok so if the registrar provides this a add-on service then they are ripping the public off. Strange that there are no guidelines on ZACR regarding this and it is acceptable to practise in the domain registration industry.
Do TLD domain registrars like ZACR charge for WHOIS privacy and is it fair for domain registrars to charge for such a service? Is the optional WHOIS privacy simply a way for registrars to generate more income?
Most domain registrations exclude hosting and email and the whois privacy comes at an extra cost which boggles the mind as most providers will list their own details on the whois search result.
