    lol yeah, im thinking in the corner of the room instead of right at my feet by the desk. Would there be any concerns putting the inverter in a large cavity under wooden stairs, and running extension cables down and up to charge/power ? Not sure what effect very long extension cables would have.

    Ok great thanks gents, when charging its actualy quite soft, just when it kicks into battery power. I'll find some way to hide it and reduce the buzz, so long as its common place and not a fault im happy.
