    Good ol' trade system when needed. Thats quite the pitty though, because in some cases the damage to the area was done for no reason, since the installation there is cancelled. I don't even know if this halt on all fibre installations will affect my link africa bfibre. stuck on that contract...

    There is fibre people in the are where I stay, but my Link africa is supposed to be installed in the period of the next month aswell, so no idea... everytime I ask the trenches, or contractors in the area who they are digging for, they can't give me a clear answer

    I ended up ordering business fibre from PacketSky (via linkafrica), its pricey, and will cost me my whole families kidneys. but I need it in order to work, so its an expense I will have to facilitate.

    Exactly what i'm getting on my 20mb/s adsl, i'm sure the infrastructure will improve over time here, it is just a matter of which is better initially..

    Not really. Unless they can afford the premium of business fibre from Link Africa. Their best option for now is adsl or rain lte for the time being. Telekom lte is just rubbish

    As much as it sucks that this information might be a reality, we can "show Interest" on their site for consumer, Not like we would lose anything for that. But As you mention, it might be in vein.

    additional update - I got a LinkAfrica team installing near the caravan park in Margate, Valley Road. I've checked their coverage map, they seem to plan to cover the entire south coast area, but no availability on ISPs yet. Sign up to get notified people!

    Nope - they seem to have just installed to the court, and f'd off. I got a reply from Metrofibre (Reached out to all providers I could think of, and they were the only to reply) stating : which does not really mean much. Hopefully we get something in 2020 / 2021, or maybe Rain brings their 5G...
