    I guess it is never going to end. I am glad you regained the number before it was too late. I did not know about flagging the number, so I guess it is important that you flag it if you are on prepaid.

    This would be a better option. At least give the user a warning of about 24 to 72 hours if the number is already registered.

    Nothing... you just receive an SMS saying your number is being swapped. If you don't see that SMS on time then you are finished.....

    I think the sad part of it is when you call or go in store and they cannot do anything for you. That's when you get defeated :). It is not a good experience at all. Yes, why would it be so easy to do a sim swap and port an existing number and the next day you are up and running? Crazy...
