They should just replace the gantries with Boom gates at every on and off ramp and every entrance and exit to Gauteng, then if you have a tag it will calculate how many km's you traveled on the highway with your entry and exit point, and if you don't have the tag then you get charged R50 per...

I would assume that after this is paid, a lot more people will start keeping their slips if it was a grudge purchase like this. I am just glad that I have everything on email. However, I think this will take another couple of years to get sorted and paid, and by the time they finally switch off...

(------|) Tried to keep the nor Fuel Levy on the one side, I prefer working in Excel (It's Fuel "nor" Feul).& (I suspect you might benefit from a typing coach...?) You will not believe it but I started on keybr.com today; I really want to start typing without looking at my keyboard. So...

Seeing as everyone will apparently be getting a refund for everything they paid, I guess all of this then changes. I wonder if OUTA will then give back all the money they got paid from road users. I seriously doubt that. Then at least the people that did not support OUTA and paid their tolls can...

I will see if I can make a video on this subject on my YouTube Channel. Maybe I can explain it better over there.

I just saw the info on EWN about the R6.9billion that will be paid back. LOL. They do not understand what an administrative nightmare this will actually be from a financial point of view. More so for companies than private individuals. Every company that claimed Etoll as an expense in the last...

LOL Yes, I remember the 3 (max) lane highway before the expansion for the 2010 World Cup, I use to work in Pretoria and Stay in Roodepoort back then, then you either had the N14 2 lane option or the 3 lane N1 Highway. 15 years ago that was a bloody pain to travel every morning and every evening...

Do you not understand the user pay principal, or do you not understand the proposed 3c/liter fuel levy?

Well, If you paid an invoice or a statement, they should have records of that, (Requirement from SARS) then you should be able to get everything back that you paid. If they allow this payback topic. The only thing where you would require something like proof of payment would be if you paid and...

Just imagine, once the Gauteng Local government implements the fuel levy, and they manage to get the R13billion plus maintenance costs funded with the fuel levy, do you really think they will ever kill that goose that laid the golden egg, you and your kids and their kids and their kids will then...

Sorry CB40, I have no idea which portion of the post you do not understand, But what I am trying to show, is that a petrol levy will be worse that their current user pay system

Great, thanks for asking. I think 2023 will be the best year yet. I started my YouTube Channel recently and am focusing on Comparing South African Banks and then the odd video on Government spending and issues like Etolls

I have seen this as a request but nothing further. The only way this would be possible from a Financial Expert point of view is if the people submit their claims for money they paid together with the proof of payments.

I am not a fan of paying for something I don't use, unless the people that don't use the highway get a reduction in the Petrol price, and Eskom that Burns R2billion per month on diesel also do not pay the extra Petrol levy
