Hooray, found the solution I was looking for today. Downloaded XnView MP from https://www.xnview.com/en/xnviewmp/#downloads which allows one to batch convert and select progressive or not. Sorted! -

Cobalt, thanks, I would like to try that, but it's still a bit Greek to me. Confirm this is in terminal is it? If the photos are on a memory stick, inserted into the Macbook, what would be the path of the memory stick, and what would the command look like? -

Can any boffins help pls? My digital photo frame won’t display certain jpg files with an “unsupported file” warning. After some reading up I’ve learnt that some of my files are progressive jpg’s, whilst the one’s that play ok are baseline jpg’s. I’m not too clued up on using the terminal... -
