    There is an ic which is not adjustable, which controls the cut off time, on most ups products, not all though. Be careful with external battery add ons, minimal load only, otherwise the transformer can overheat and blow permanently

    This has nothing to do with battery voltage, I have connected a 12.8volt DC supply to my mecer vu 650 battery output and the unit still cuts off at exactly 2 hours. Disconnect the Com board and it still cuts off at 2hrs. So there must be a timer. Someone one here said they disconnected the...
