So much of the coverage on this focuses on cracking DLCs. I think the bigger story is researchers extracting the service network keys. It's not an easy exploit to take advantage of, but it's hardware-based and persistent, so not easy to fix either.
I'm sure some of this is busy work and theatre so they can stay on the good side of their suppliers, the movie/TV studios. Especially since the environment is becoming more competitive.
Would requiring that photographers entering these competitions submit their raw files be too big of an ask? It seems to me like that could be an easy solution to this particular problem.
Agreed @Fuzzbox the share price is reducing over time down to R28.29, and so are the offers which have fallen from MTN's R60 to this consortium's R42. Shareholders can't be too pleased with the board.
