It's weird I think it may be my router. There was something about UPlay it really didn't like, got a bunch of DoS warnings on the router that made it drop the connection every few minutes, and I think that also played a part in the packet loss.
Not really sure what to make of it to be honest.
Anyone has major packet loss as well? I'm just downloading a game on UPlay and if I don't limit my download speed to below 10MB/s then it starts dropping packets left and right?
Even at 5MB/s I still get 5-10% loss.
Brave to do maintenance right at the launch of Cyberpunk ;)
Credit where credit is due, the connection has been very stable since the issues in September/October.
Ironically I couldn't reply earlier because once again the connection was down.
I hear you about them being big and having how many other providers, but again, from a consumer point of view, your providers are of little concern to me and it's your service that sucks right now. Particularly...
I've read everything here about WACS and upstream providers and what not, and to be brutally honest I couldn't care less. Is there no redundancy or measures to protect against this in place without the entire connection going to %$#@?
These past two weeks have been probably the worst fixed line...
Oh no for sure, if you're upgrading then definitely get something that supports pcie 4.0, I'm just saying it's not necessary to upgrade everything if you don't have it and just want the card.
Even though they support pcie 4.0 I don't think these cards will come anywhere near to needing it, even with RTX IO.
I'm sure the reviewers will test it as soon as they have the cards, but I'd be very surprised if pcie 4.0 makes any difference whatsoever to the performance.
I had exactly the same thing recently, but whether the problem is with Axxess or not, it's them who have to deal with the fibre provider to sort out the issue, and they clearly aren't taking ownership of the issue.
In my case it was a line that not released on Vumatel's side and Bitco sat on it...
Exactly, there was zero inclination from Bitco to get the matter resolved, from my perspective at least it was a response of "well we've sent it to Vumatel what more do you want us to do"?
As a consumer I can't care less about Vumatel's processes as I can't deal with them, it's up to the ISP to...
I moved into a house with an existing Vumatel fibre line and applied for internet at Bitco.
Turns out (more than a week later) that the line was still assigned to the previous occupants' ISP (CISP), they helped me out by terminating the line with Vumatel (it did take 3 days to get the...
