    I always used CISP DNS, thinking the on-network CDN cache would be best, but switching to 9.9.9.9 DNS has made a huge impact on downloads from Apple.     Hi, it is still really really slow to resolve domains that have not been queried before. It says 1624ms but actually feels like about 3 seconds.
