    Merlin 4 Energizer clicking sound

    I hope someone can help me I have a Energizer Merlin 4. I have disconnected the wires going to the fence, originally my Energizer would click loudly. I know this is normal. But for some reason it now the click sounds really dull. Not as loud as it used to be. What could be the problem?
