    DStv's subscriber decline in detail

Dstv management is to blame for the decline. For many years they hold the monopoly for entertainment in South Africa and they screwed the consumers with increase after increase while top management enriched themselves with exuberant salaries and bonusses. They bled the company dry while...

DStv going after IPTV operators and other pirates

Stupid dstv should rather spend their energy on fixing their company. Anyway...who would want to watch all the repeats on dstv. Don't worry...I pay for my YouTube and Netflix subscriptions. Not in the least interested in dstv for the past 8 years already

MultiChoice's FY24 results show it is technically insolvent

Save dstv by getting rid of all the greedy high earning officials. They are just the same as state capture. Millions in salaries and extravagant bonusses to directors and ceo's, cfo's over many years robbed the company of cash.

Former Mweb CEO Rudi Jansen launched South Africa's first affordable uncapped broadband product

In the days of the Black Box I was one of MWEB's first subscribers and I grew with them. Unfortunately their stupid FUP chased me away. Altough they said it is uncapped it never really was. I cancelled with MWEB and moved to Afrihost in 2002 and still enjoy the great service provided by Afrihost.

    DStv prices over the decade

Dstv is NOT worth the money they are asking. We have cancelled dstv almost 8 years ago and not missing it one little bit.

    Rough seas ahead for MultiChoice

The greedy bosses of DSTv made n number bad decisions. Firstly the included a lot of useless channels nobody are interrest in watching. They bragged about the number of channels bit it was useless. Secondly they allianated the sport fans with their monopoly and they bought the sport bosses with...

There and back again with the Volvo XC40 Recharge Twin

Very interresting info but what I dont see is the following: 1) How many people were in the car and the amount of luggage? 2) What time did you leave Jhb? Was it early morning? How congested was the traffic? 3) Did you have to waite for a charging station to become available or was it readily...

Ramokgopa says adding too much solar generation capacity too quickly could collapse the grid

What a genius our new electrifying minister is.... When I go Solar it will be to get rid of eskom, the horrible ministers matanshe, gordon, ramakgopa and the anc.

Alternatives to the failing South African Post Office

I feel sorry for some Post Office staff. Unfortunately most of the staff thinks they do you favor to assist you. For at least the past couple of years I dont use the post office. I regard it as permanently closed. Either they are on strike or the queues are so long with only one staff member at...

"Don't let fibre ruin the game," MTN says in 5G commercial

This is bullshit MTN. My fibre from Afrihost on Openserve network still works during loadshedding while MTN's "wonderful" 5G is as dead as Eskom. My broadband speediest on MTN during loadshedding is download 1.2 mbps and upload is zero.

Fibre price battle - Vumatel vs Openserve vs Frogfoot vs Metrofibre

At the moment, for me, the "so-callec" fibre war is just a myth. I am with Afrihost already for many years. At first as a DSL customer and since June 2021 as a Fibre user. I have the 25/25 GB uncapped fibre on Openserve. The service us great, but up till now there is no sign of a fibre war...
