    They put the debit order through normally at the end of the month. If anything the thread will create more awareness of the potential worse case scenario so happy it has helped positively.

    Contract expired and moved it to a month to month. I got a SMS saying your upgrade has been successfull and next upgrade is in 2020. Hope that is not another F up. Waiting for the new Iphone to be released and will move over to Vodacom.

    Not sure what my kid has to do with this when the bill got racked up when I had the phone. Maybe I am stupid for not switching off cellular data at the time but then and again who would imagine the data would get looped the way it did.

    Legally I have 5 years to argue this if I want. The average person after a hit like that won't have money for lawyers. Reckless lending is what all legal people have told me but it will go to court and that's a risk when a individual has to fight a giant in court.

    If I am not mistaken I modified the sim. Will pull it out and check but I didn't get a second sim at any time.

    The period works out to R126,800 odd. Phone was on 3G, sim was 3G as it was old and the tower here by us doesnt support LTE as I am in a relatively "rural" area. Average speed test gives 15-23mb/s best case.

    Discovered it was disconnected at around 14h00 28th. Reconnected the following day some time.

    The cost was incurred during phone update period of around 8 hours. Speaking to the usual attorneys this will go to court. The advise is they have legal representation on retainer so I will need to pay costs and if I dont win with costs then it will be a double financial whammy.

    You can see here what is streaming and what is download. So in essence how this can be explained by MTN is during those hours I downloaded and deleted the same things over and over till I go tired of doing that and went to bed. :unsure...
