    Ghost Fibre Reviews?

Hey guys! It has been a while. Note the pricing has changed for Openserve due to the increases and package changes. Some website adjustments will be pushed out shortly, we have been haunting many other projects. Current Openserve Pricing: 50/25 Mbps - R669 50/50 Mbps - R749 100/50 Mbps - R849...

    Ghost Fibre

Greetings! Happy to run some tests for you and answer any questions, we also have a dedicated WhatsApp line where you can reach us, the number is on our site. We actually joined forces with Websquad with some interesting plans for gaming and latency in the works. Can't say too much just yet.

    Metrofibre Feedback

Quite a few FNO's are doing price bumps on lower end and reductions on the higher end now. We have spent a good week sorting out pricing, only for Openserve to go NUTS over their speeds and packages. Our MFN pricing adjustments will go live with our new site, so we have been a little silent on...

    Ups battery backup for router/dstv

Oh hey it's the small units we stock. Had a bunch just come in but have already sold them or had them booked out. On the topic, for DSTV and TV with a lamp. You will want to get a decent sized Inverter over any UPS solution, as those will die extremely quickly and are not designed to run longer...

    Network tower installation

Not going to go on about the 5G aspect, for reasons. Do you want a cell tower for your current phones and LTE? Or internet connectivity to you and the houses around you? Getting a small tower there and connecting everybody up is possible, but getting a cell tower there, that's probably not...

Guess the Fibre ISP provider who did this install !

Looks like it could be any of the contractors for practically all the FNO's, but that slinky turn all over the place, at the top smells a little like it's one of Metrofibres contractors. Not trying to shame Metrofibre, but have seen one of their contracts do this a few times in a rollout here...

MWeb refusing to cancel contract - Penalty fee

So when it comes to contracts, we actually don't have any as all our stuff is month-to-month for FTTH. The one contract we have is with the FNO's that sometimes enforce an activation/installation fee and break it up over a few months. If you would have had questions, you would just have to ask...

Metrofibre & ISP What is happening here?

Please throw us a DM next time with a project you are working on so we can throw some stuff/advice your way. Hate to see the mental state of some people here trying to complete jobs, but it does happen from time to time, having a similar issue at a complex here. I won't comment on those...

Kicking out fiber provider that locks exclusivity but doesn't install?

It depends what kind of estate, building or complex you have. The body corporate generally manage which fibre networks are allowed to install or negotiates the contract. Is it an open-access FNO? Or is it closed both on the ISP and FNO side?

MWeb refusing to cancel contract - Penalty fee

One of the reasons we hate contracts. Even if there is a free installation promotion with the FNO and the ISP offers it too, the cost of the router is always going to be on the ISP to cover, hence they are charging a cancellation fee. There aren't bully tactics, people just don't read their...

Metrofibre & ISP What is happening here?

Sorry to skip most of this, been a long day, but we just had to reply. 1.) We have plenty of stable clients on Metrofibre. There are a few issues like port speeds being incorrect and sometimes there is a pop outage (few and far between now). 2.) I carry a special bag with my tools, the bag is...

    MetroFibre covered house skipped

Some interesting stuff going on in JBay, we actually have some stuff planned there but sadly KZN has taken up most of our time. This actually can and does happen. But the resolution isn't too much of a pain for the ISP side of things. Its simple as Metrofibre doing a run to your place and...

    MWEB on Openserve

Greetings! Not going to comment on Mweb for reasons. 1.) Reliability with uptime will be with the fibre network itself, openserve has always been great during outages. Even those that span 6-12 hours. 2.) Support staff is something you can actually test out with the ISP's in the industry, just...
