    My stomach turned as I was reading through this. As things stand, I am not taking the offer, but the starting date is the 1st of November so I still have 3 weeks to try finding something better, plus I have an interview tomorrow so I'll see how that goes.

    No. Amount was only revealed during the interview as they said what I asked for was higher than what SETA agreed to pay (R5K). They say the internship is sponsored by them.

    As in take it then get there and apply for a decent paying job? will they even consider an intern just a month or two into the programme? :oops: even R15K doesn't suffice for a single person living in Stellenbosch? That is hectic.

    Not exact - typical living expenses. Rent R4500 Water/elec (if excluded) R500 Internet R488 Transport (not sure if I'll be staying close or far from the office so +-500 taxi fare per month) Groceries R1000 I think those would be the basics I couldn't survive without.     I received a 12 month internship but I am on the fence as to whether or not I should do it as it is based in Stellenbosch with a stipend of R5000 per month.
