    Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply. I didn't get to do the tests I mentioned above. We got our hands on a thunderbolt to vga adapter and lo an behold it worked the first time we connected it. +1 to Johnatan56 for your suggestion. Thanks to all of you for your feedback and help.     Yes, all 5 displays are showing the same thing. I am using a hdmi-to-vga adapter (see attached image). Isn't that a conversion from digital to analog? If I understand correctly, because we are using analog VGA it does not work, since the Macbooks only work with digital displays / signals?
