Hardware Bargains 2 - Electric Boogaloo

I've had no issues with my LDNIO charger, not this particular one, but an older 76w one from a couple of years ago - still going strong.

I believe that R150 is a once-off cost. The paid Flex plan is annual.

Have you tried a rubber band between the driver and screw head, press hard and slowly back the screw out.

Yep, make one yourself to match what you paid the seller, or what they reflect as the cost, whichever is cheaper.

Takealot scan to pay refund, Money missing?

I also use scan to pay, but have any return refunds added on my account as credit, not back to the payment source. I found it a schlep to get refunds to source, for anything other than credit card payment.

    Washing machine

I don't really bother with warranties any longer with kitchen appliances, most should last 2+ years or more. I'm on my second Samsung washing machine since 1998 (yes, 27 years, first lasted 15 years) - absolutely solid machines imo. Run 2-3 loads a week.

    Garage Door Motor advice

Following - have an issue with existing roll-up door motors that seem to have been a botched fit by the previous home owner (can't determine the brand/model), and unsure what option is better.

The Tools and other D.I.Y bargains thread

Cool, check what battery capacity/capacities would work best for you, based on the tool and required usage. My brushless rotary hammer drill prefers a larger 4000mAh or 6000mAh battery for medium/high usage jobs, whilst the brushless hammer drill/driver is happy with any capacity really. Any...

The Tools and other D.I.Y bargains thread

All my cordless tool batteries keep their charge for months on end, never had an issue with having to charge a depleted battery from non-use. Have 4x 4000mAh for the drills, drivers, saws, sanders, heat gun, etc and cycle them as needed. The older original smaller capacity 2000mAh batteries I...

Always had short runs for our garden lights, so never bothered with mains. I see the other comments after mine and agree that if a longer run and not LED, rather use mains. Are you planning to extend the lighting run/s at any point, would also maybe be a factor?

Personally, I prefer 12v for any garden lighting, have always used 12v and never had mains. Just my preference though.
