I recently bought a bunch if new t-shirt from Mr Price. After only one wash they're shrunken and I also notice they don't feel as "nice" as the shirts I paid a bit more for last year (Ecko and Fox), but I'm not sure if it's a mental thing or not.
This got me thinking, is it worth it to pay a...
We moved during the lockdown from Montana to Garsfontein. I'm currently a member of Viva gym in Montana but going to the gym is such a mission at the moment because it's a 50km round trip. I've been spoilt at Viva because I've been on a month to month membership for250 for almost three years...
Today I've procrastinated from working by reading up on, and watching videos on car tyres.
I kept on reading about how certain tyres are built to reduce noise bla bla bla. Came across an interesting article that compared tyre noise inside the cabin using a fairly extensive microphone setup...
On a serious note, I've narrowed it down to these. Current frontrunner is the corolla Prestige.

Hahaha. You guys crack me up. It's not for beating anyone.
I'm building a bamboo style braai area with the bar's facade having that bamboo aesthetic. One particular s-curve section keeps snapping the bamboo/reed I'm using because of the odd bends.
I got some advice on an online forum to use...
Does anyone know where I can source some cane sticks similiar to the one they used to beat us with in school or they use for furniture.
I tried the bamboo they sell at Builders, but the stuff is too brittle and splits
On their website when you try to sign up with the given address, they refuse to process the order and it just gives a message that says they are still rolling out fibre in the area and you can pre-order.
I also spoke to a consultant on Whatsapp and the person was clueless and it took multiple...
We're moving and need to get fibre installed (20/10 or 5 mbps). Our main concern is stability (Zoom calls) and liberal FUP (we stream a lot of tv). Going by some of the best ISP articles I've read, CI and Supersonic seem to be good options.
Any other suggestions worth looking at?
Screw it. I'm not touching Afrihost. Just spoke to an Afrihost consultant via Whatsapp and the guy was beyond clueless.
Told me there's no Openserve infrastructure in the area even though the Openserve website shows there is and my father in law who lives two houses down is on Openserve.
Literally almost every other isp I've checked shows the area as being fully covered. I know for a fact Openserve and Vumatel has had infrastructure in the area for years. My father in law lives two houses down and has fibre, although his isp is Telkom. Afrihost is the only isp out of about 6...
We're trying to sign up for fibre with Afrihost, but when we try to process the order it gives us a message to say that "your area is currently in rollout phase".
The location is in a well established area in Pretoria East (Garsfontein). Seems rather lame that there's no fibre in the area.
Our body corporate sent out a message this morning to notify all the tenants not to pay the last invoice issued until they get some concrete feedback from the previous management company on why the bills are so high for the last month because they've been getting a lot of complaints from...
I do have an itemised bill. The issue here is that the final invoice reports an extra 250kwh of usage more than we normally have over 30 days. And that while we weren't even home for 8 out of those 30 days. And at this point just about every single resident got a usage reading that is way higher...
