Prepaid electricity users in Joburg face R554 fixed fee

Are these extra "service and capacity charges" an annual or monthly fee or payable everything the customers buys prepaid electricity. Yet another example of how we the people have to pay for bloated and incompetent governance, management and employee structures in these municipalities.

Cinemas are growing globally but struggling in South Africa

It's amazing when business leaders refuse to see the writing on the wall for their industry. Cinemas, notwithstanding the supposed global trends referred to is a "technology" in decline. Streaming is growing. Live TV is declining. PayTV such as DSTV are in decline. There is no shortage of...

Criminals stealing fibre cables and "smoking" them

Not a single sector of the SA economy is safe from criminals and their "blessers". We are heading to failed state status faster than ever. Haiti, here we come!

    DStv price increases 2024

You happily accept them or you don't use the service? I would like not to pay tollfees but unfortunately have to use the road and because I paid SABC license before they hound me through their lawyers to pay. DSTV I left years ago and don't miss them, including Supersport, at all.

    DStv price increases 2024

I cannot believe that fellow South Africans are still being fooled by this bloodsucking, profiteering and customer disregarding company. But then, if we look around us, we happy South Africans accept a lot of stuff, other people in other countries would long have gotten rid of.

New Eskom CEO starting on 1 March 2024

I wonder who is going to run eskom? The board and its newly appointed ceo plus executive team, the chief electrician (minister of electricity), the minister of Public enterprises or the minister of energy. This to me sounds like another big accident waiting for a time and place to happen. Good...

DStv prices in 2013 vs 2023

A desperate company sucking at straws. Have no idea what their key challenges are. Now they blame loadshedding and are looking for power solutions? Crazy. Get your customer value proposition right. Other platforms are gaining subscribers whilst you are loosing them. Stop making excuses and start...

Ramokgopa: Eskom dropped the ball last week

I am truly intrigued. The electricity minister seems to be doing the job of the CEO of Eskom. The government is still looking to appoint a CEO. By the time this is finally done Eskom will experience governance overload, having a board, a ceo and executive team, and 2 responsible ministers. Eish...

SABC TV Licence evasion rate increases to 87%

That's true. I've been paying the license fee forever and when I stopped doing so? Because they have me on record they got their debt collectors to threaten me, and yes who wants a black mark against not paying R289? So I paid them just to get rid of them. I wonder what they going to get the...
