    yes, when eskom is ON, everything is working fine and the LCD shows its in Bypass Mode Cool, so taping down could work. If I need to switch of the inverter I can remove the tape and switch off the supply to the inverter at the DB board.

    I hope someone can help me. I have a Mecer inverter with battery and that was working perfectly before. I was away from home and my pre-paid power ran out, the power switched to the inverter until the battery ran out. After I restored the power, my inverter is not functioning correctly anymore...
