Grew up on a farm near Kokstad. Went to the Tweespruit Agricultural High School in the Free State. Graduated with a masters degree in Clinical Psyhology at UP and finally graduated with a DLitt et Phil degree at Unisa. My last post was that of Head of the Bureau for Student Counselling at the main campus of Unisa from where I retired officially in 2008 to start my own private practise at home. I finally retired from psychology in 2009 and became a full time intraday trader of the JSE. I believe that one must do something (radically) different when you retire to keep the Alzheimer's and Dementia at bay! I am married to a wonderful wife, Julia, who is a music teacher, and we have three grown sons and three grandchildren.
