Enjoying the sunshine here in KZN - three 50kwh+ days in a row, solar nearly perfectly matching the calculated values. Just a bit of shading in the afternoon that will disappear soon as well! 4.5kwh/kwp efficiency.
This is my Ambient Weather 2902C (Green) vs my total solar (Yellow) - you can see they track reasonably well. This is for Richards Bay yesterday.
This is the same graph on the 9th of December 2025 (Solar in Red now...). Max Lux is more than double but the equivalent max Solar is only 33%...
I have 2 x 5kwh, 1 x 10kwh, 1 x 14kwh and an old dodgy pouch cell DIY that used to be 10kwh all from different manufacturers and all in parallel. I just have comms to the 14kwh and the rest don't communicate. I haven't had a days trouble. I bought them knowing I wasn't going to get support from...

This is what I'm looking for - I keep getting false positives on my weber under it's cover, or my son's black plastic motorbike etc. And the problem is if I raise the detection threshold high enough to avoid false positives then getting a good true positive becomes too hard. Plus both these...

In defense of the TT/Ingco ratchet - that Milwaukee is $330 (R5.5k). I'm happy with mine. Sure it could be lighter and smaller but it can still get to 90% of the fasteners a smaller one could and it really does save my energy on the easy ones to use on the more challenging ones. I also bought a...
Very cool - I wonder what the feed in rate is during peak times? And I wonder if if makes sense to charge from grid at the cheapest times and then feed back in at the peaks? Cycles your batteries but could still be financially viable. And the utility basically gets to use your storage capacity...
