Does anybody have any experience of this transfer switch/ plug. How long will it last before it turns on Eskom and Inverter at the same time and destroys something. My reason for wanting to use this plug is that the inverter goes into AVR mode (delivering 207 volts) as soon as Eskom power goes...
In the absence of a charger and balancer, can i discharge the fuller battery (with 2 x 12v car headlight globes)till near where the empty one is .then charge in series with 24v inverter.(until balancer is obtained )
12v charges normally charge at 12v to 13v. lifepo4 battery wants 14.2v to 14.4v. i cannot find any charger that charges at that voltage. So if you say use a 12v charger , can it be any old charger or one that charges at 14.2volts.( will a normal 13v output charger charge a lifepo4 12.8v battery)
I am connecting 2 x lifepo4 12v x 108ah
batteries in series .They are in different state of charge, Will they balance out over time, with no damaging effect or is it emperative that they be at the same state of charge, ie balanced. Can anybody shine some light on the subject. thanks
Yes ,plug eskom into the back of inverter and plug your device into inverter outlet. connect batteries via positive and negative cable coming out the back of inverter. see pic for example (excuse the foot)
Looking for plug & play inverter.
12 or 24 volt
600watt to 3000watt
40amp battery charging capacity
Lifepo4 profile charger ( configurable)
Pure Sinewave
Under R10 000
In South Africa ,walk in stoor.(not online)
can anyone assist?
Thanks for all the info.
Any thoughts on a 12 volt ups/inverter with a 30 or 40amp charger .(for charging a lifepo4 108ah in 3 hours) most 12v inverters have 10amp charging capacity.
Yes, chart does not match my findings.
My battery discharge reading is 12.7 v. and stays at that voltage for 3 hours at 200watt /h consumption. Will go down to 12.6v with inverter showing 50% battery capacity left.
Hence my question is specifically aimed at bluenova lifepo4 13v 108ah battery...
