    I bought the SSD on Amazon cause it was way cheaper with shipping and other taxes and fees all put together. Mind you this was way before the Rand weakened againest the dollar so I hit a luck there. SSD prices in SA were way ridiculous 2 years ago as well. They should've dropped slightly but...

    3 years ago, I got a Mid 2012 MBP for like 7k on gumtree. I took out the HDD that came with it and put 1tb Crucial SSD and also took out the 6gb rams sticks and put in two crucial 8GB = Total Ram 16GB. Let me tell you that thing is fast!!! I have no problems whats so ever. Upgraded the MacOS...
