    What's stopping you from going to the US? If a nobody like me with barely any experience could get in, I find it hard to comprehend why a lot of devs here never try and choose the UK instead.

    I have hilariously terrible luck. OfferZen told me they are not set up to support candidates based in my current location. I'm back in SA living in a major city but somehow they can't support me.

    Not at all. I last tried it in 2019 and didn't have a great experience so stopped using it. But this is a great suggestion so I'm going to give it another try.

    Psychosis. Went through a very stressful 2023 coupled with long periods of little to no sleep, the stress overwhelmed me and I ended up hallucinating. Had enough sense to figure out something was wrong so I came back and got hospitalized.

    It was not at will, the medical emergency caused me to go MIA and could not be reached for 2.5 weeks. I'm just a little sad that I may not get another opportunity like that again now that i'm back in the country. I asked for the job back but they insist that they are not hiring anymore and...
