City power decided to put our meters up on our poles in the street because they are smart, which they now apparently can't read because someone lost the reader box likely. Anyhoo, I'm now getting estimates 4 - 5x my actual consumption, have a dispute open with COJ and multiple closed calls from...
So I have a probably very noonish question for the experts, I’m looking at adding more panels , so I’m thinking of just another victron mppt and another 3000w of panels north facing. This will bring my total on the roof to 12000w. What I’m wondering is whether this either overload my batts or...
So I’m interested in these for a completely different reason, I’m wondering if I could hook these up as additional panels using ac coupling to my victron setup, additional power can go to batteries to make them charge faster. I only need another 3 - 5 kw on the roof to pretty much be off grid...
Cojs network is pretty much held together by bubble gum and prayer at this point, we been switched over to a completely different block, along with it seems a few other lucky areas , so that block is now completely overloaded , so when our overlords deem us worthy of power we are lucky to get...
Sigh , wouldn’t surprise me to find out the guys with the diesel supply contracts are behind the sabotage , thus ensuring their payday continues unabated
I would expect voltage to move in range as the house increases and drops loads, but dropping down to around 200 or less during peaks is what is making me think something bigger is going on.
So checked again this morning , the voltage drops coincide almost perfectly with morning and evening peaks, we also didn’t come back when loadshedding ended.
All pointing towards under capacity in our area I guess
