    Thanks for the reply, the only setting I changed was to set it to UPS, is the max charge voltage at 28.8 an issue?

    I received my replacement unit from Takealot. My previous trolley didn't charge the battery beyond 28.2v it's now charging to 28.8v, also my usb ports didn't charge anything but the new one seems to.

    Thanks, I just handed them the unit and the crate, I chucked the polystyrene, so they just took it like that. It took about a week for them to issue the return, I don't know much about their process.

    Oh dear, sorry to hear about that. I am getting my replacement unit today. My previous unit was also just under 3 months in use, also no heavy use.

    Was on grid permanently, with a surge protector. I'm in Cape Town so no lightning issue that I know of. We've also only had 2-hour LS slots (mainly) since I've had the unit. Never noticed the unit heating up much either, really strange.

    This morning, I woke up to the smell of burned electronics. My 3kw unit, which I only used to power two PCs, some lamps, and a TV, is completely dead. I purchased the unit at the end of May and it worked beautifully until now. I’m so disappointed and will be logging a replacement with Takealot.
