Here again the operator invented term of "over-the-top". There is no such thing - only internet. They keep trying to sway the narrative into this "over-the-top" nonsense as if the world owes them more than what they are already being paid. They are paid to move data from point A to point B. They...
Eh? Seeing that a lot of people are suddenly not driving to PnP or Woolworths and using Sixty60 instead I would say that for Checkers it is new generated revenue...
For calls that Truecaller don't block I press the answer button. I dont pick up the phone. I go make coffee or something and leave my phone so they can talk to the air. Gotta support the cellphone networks with their declining voice revenue.
How do you report somebody if you have very little valid information on them? Does anybody in their right mind think these spam callers give you the true and correct information? And the number they dial from is useless.
CoCT really punishes complexes. We have a complex - each house has to pay fixed connection charge. Then our complex need to pay for a commercial connection at like R4500 per month as well. So if you live in a complex you are essentially getting double charged - part of it just comes through the...
Battery is going to last longer than that. Besides with the speed at which battery prices are dropping you will probably be able to replace the battery in 10 years time for less than you spent on oil, air filters, spark plugs, cam belts etc over 10 years on petrol car.
Seeing that phones are not subsidized anymore I really think there is a case to be made that the service contract and the device financing must be seperated. Because it feels like a lot of the provisions of the NCA is circumvented by "service contracts" that is actually about device financing.
Aaarrggghhh. People saying "it is opex" as if that is always the right thing. Especially in cloud people will smile "opex" as if it is a universal advantange.
No. Opex vs Capex depends on the business, their cost of capital, their IRR, their spending priorities etc etc. I always cringe when...

The hat is really cool though...
This is crazy. It is land already zoned for industrial use. It is surrounded by other industrial buildings. It is not as if it is farmland, or nature reserve or housing area being converted to industrial use.
I understand that the AI data centers is getting out of hand in the US. But very...
For LLMs? Good luck with that
🙃
Brilliant for object detection etc.
But for LLMs you want the cheapest high volume high bandwidth RAM money can buy. And Raspberry Pi's aint it.
