    I bought the 9esim V3 Physical ESIM Write Card, including the esim writer. It was R634 + R73 shipping. Not sure what the import fees were, there was other stuff in the order. There are cheaper versions of the writable esims available (Zovagolo).

    You can also buy a programmable esim (9esim) and use that in a cheap phone. Also in a router, I have tested that in a ZTE U30 Pro, this router is 5G (mobile, not wifi)

    Yes, but we only need them in Joburg because of the incompetence of CityPower, the maintenance departments of the Joburg City Council, and the Gauteng Metro Police.

    The potholes here in Joburg tend to rip the tyres, inflation products are useless. I recently ended up with two ripped tyres from a pothole, had to grab an Uber and take one of the wheels to TWT. But TWT's opening hours are limited. With my old Landrover I always have two spares.

    I agree, but a few ANC municipalities (Thaba Chweu Local Municipality) have started charging a fee (on the rates account) to residents that have solar installations. AFAIK some organisations (AfriForum) have taken this up.

    Yeah, but knowing the ANC they may still try to charge you some fees, even when disconnected. And who knows what CitiPower in Joburg could get up to ? Once the new Na+ batteries become available, offgrid would be very viable.

    Yeah, this is not going to work for me. As it is, I use F1 TV and watch rugby at the local pub.

    No, no, we were waiting for the new R10, R20, and R50 coins. Considering that the Rand is now worth about 1/200 of what it used to be worth. For example, a few years ago a 4 bar KitKat used to cost 5 cents. And 330ml tins of Coca Cola were launched at 10 cents.
