    Anybody on here still on Marshmallow and experiencing YouTube freezing? Seems to be a regular thing. Netflix works perfect on Marshmallow but YouTube freezes from time to time, requiring you to force stop the app.

Tonight Ive had YouTube freeze on me a few times and even Netflix stopped randomly a few times saying it cant connect to the Netflix services which I find unlikely to be an internet issue as I have used Netflix via A Chromecast device for quite some time and never had issues...

    Just read up on the issues on Nvidia Shield TV too. The Oreo update has its own issues on Nvidia Shield from what I can see. Might not be as bad as Mi Box but make sure you do your homework about the current issues before spending that amount of money.

    Apple TV definitely has the edge here. My primary reason for this box was the USB port, allowing stuff like mouse/keyboard, USB thumb drives & HDDs. In particular if you have some form of video on a USB device you can play it on this box vs Apple TV that requires not only a Mac/PC running...

    Did you update to Oreo? That's a known problem on Oreo and no downgrade unfortunately.

    Well I'm on Marshmallow. I was on Oreo on my faulty Mi Box and CEC integration worked great. But now that i'm on a replacement Mi Box running Marshmallow there is no CEC settings and it doesn't work. It sounds like it was added on Oreo, which I'm to scared to upgrade to again.

    I would assume so yeah. The one I plugged in (J5 Create JUE130 USB 3.0 adapter) worked alongside Wifi without any settings. Granted this was when I used Oreo. Since I received my replacement device I've not tried it on Marshmallow but can't imagine it wont work.
