Apparently these pictures are a Photoshopped rendering of what to expect, and not the real thing. It has not been revealed yet at any auto show.

City driving @ 9.5 km/l, open road or long distance I have gotten up to 12.8 km/l. Mixed I get about 10.5km/l I have to auto version. The manuals have achieved better consumption. Still, even if the competitors are nominally lighter on fuel, it will still not make up the difference in asking price

I own one, and it has been a problem free experience. There is a dedicated Facebook page and I can assure you that the actual owners are all happy. Of course one would find little issues here and there, but I personally had a problem free 10 months with mine.

Please elaborate. I own one (since end Jan 2021) and there is nothing that gives me any worries.

    Haval/GWM Cars

I have heard rumors about late in 2022, should it be approved for SA (meaning, regualtion authorities and not GWM approvong it for the market). Same with the Tank 300 and maybe Tank 500 - which will be mich more likely since the use normal engines.

Don't have an answer here, bud. The P-Series 2.0TD engine has similar consumption to other bakkies but the GWM / Haval petrol engines I have no idea.

Many questions have been asked about this on GWM Facebook groups. Right now there isn't "approved" options available purely for the fact that the seats covered can severely obstruct the airbags located in the seats. I guess that is the downside of all these safety mechanisms.

There has been speculation about this yes, but in older models only, not the new models. This would have been for the non-turbo 1.3 and 1.5 engines (which actually comes from Daihatsu, which Toyota started using after buying Daihatsu). Especially true for the smaller models before the H models...

On question 2, go to your sound settings and search for alerts. If you turn it down, the indicator sound should also decrease. I have found that level 3 is sufficient. It is on level 10 by default.

Now put the smaller engine options of each in this race, e.g. Ford 2.0 single turbo or 2.2, Amarok 2.0TD, Mazda 1.9TD, Hilux 2.4TD.... Which is more in line with the 2 litre of the P-Series, and watch who wins then. Very interesting race overall, but it is not comparing apples with apples in...

CMH Haval Silver Lakes in Pretoria East. Gerhard Lourens and his team is excellent. I have a few other dealers I can recommend throughout SA, so let me know your location and then I can respond.

    Haval/GWM Cars

Been driving a P-Series since January, one of the first owners in SA. So far, no issues and it is running perfectly. Yes, many will say it will be to early to say about reliability, but if it was a cheap Bakkie there probably would have been small niggles showing up already (or major rattles...
