Don’t have a bond yet. I actually want to save up for a deposit for my first home and the money Maximiser account looked good over and above savings of about R2-3k every month that I would transfer into such an account every month if I had to go that route. I’m just not sure if it’s best option
Hi guys
So I have about R300k to invest and I’m wondering if FNB Money Maximiser is worth it to invest this in?
And for those of you who have experience with it, is it a good vehicle to invest my money in? What has your experience been?
I wish I could tell you guys too. Name and shame vibes. Alas it may tip someone off at the company incase they happen to be on this forum.
Oh and I’m definitely keeping it a secret about where I’m going because they will have a fit if they knew - it’s a competing company. I am so glad they...
Great! I’m going to do this right now. I don’t know how any of this works since I’ve never done this, but I’m going to have to start anyways since my new employer is the bastion of rules and ethics, teaches Labour Law and will no doubt have me above board with everything. I’m actually so excited...
No they have not.
I have a job offer in February so I intend on resigning next week and giving them 1 weeks note as per the contract.
I don’t have time to play the long game, especially when they haven’t kept up to their bargain for the past 2 years. They will never - they have done this to...
I already told you that I DID request them. Numerous times to no avail.
And no, it was not legitimate because I DID NOT have a tax number at that time. I was not registered for tax in that first year. I only got a tax number a few months ago after the DOL issued my place of employment with a...
I mean they did provide me with a payslip once or twice but I honestly do not think it was legit - how could it be - because at the stage I just got out of university, entered employment and was not a registered taxpayer.
Never received payslips after that though.
Yes that’s the loophole. I’ve done lots of legal research yesterday in terms of what the South African law says and from my research, it seems I can terminate a fixed term contract prematurely if a material breach of the contract has occurred from the employer’s side. I’m not bound to this...
I do not get payslips and my pay is never a set amount. It's always different amounts and at different times in the month. Sometimes half, and the other half at another time etc. Surely this is not how it works with registered workers?
And I could report them to SARS right? I know for a fact they will not have an IRP5 to give me as they are not paying over. Maybe I could use this as a threat to them if they threaten me about the contract period. Not simply a threat though because I will report them.
