The reviews I saw said it was better than the built-in grinder in most Breville bean to cup machines.

Wow that's a good price. I'm late to the party wtf is Bash? Anyway I have a big TAL voucher so was hoping to buy from there but as you say, Sage is a known brand so definitely worth considering. (FWIW, the Pebbles one is fully metal interior even though the outside is cheap, according to...

Has anybody used or heard of this entry-level grinder? Pebbles Professional 64mm Flat Burr Coffee Grinder on Takealot. https://www.takealot.com/pebbles-professional-64mm-flat-burr-coffee-grinder/PLID100274967 Did some research and it seems to be the same as the Shardor brand which has great...

    Good entry level media box?

Thanks for all the input guys. To those voting for wifi and giving tips - thanks but I'm well versed in networking and would've setup a high-speed mesh long ago if I needed one. My lounge has been hardwired for years and no next wifi network's gonna match that stability. As for the main topic -...

Overthinking is my middle name. Unfortunately.

    Good entry level media box?

Yes Google certified gives Chromecast. My 2nd gen Chromecast is getting very long in the tooth. Hence this thread in fact. Not essential but would prefer it. I've given up on most of my audiophilia. I've settled for HDMI audio.

    Good entry level media box?

Thanks, I remember that was my issue when the very first Mi box came out. My lounge is already hardwired and the fast AP's on the other side of the house. Ethernet is non-negotiable. That said, USB to Eth isn't that expensive, but then if you only have 1 USB port... that feels like sacrificing...

    Good entry level media box?

Thanks. Worried these might be a bit locked down. I heard the 2 had a clunky / buggy interface so I wanna know I can change / update as needed.

    Good entry level media box?

I know there's loads of threads on MyBB dedicated to specific media devices. I'm out of touch though and in a bit of a bind. Probably gonna grab something off Takealot soon. What are good options these days for devices around R 1000? And what features should I be looking for? Main use will be...

British series, mini-series and dramas .....

I enjoyed it but if you're one of those "anything sci-fi in any way is bad" then your loss. Don't think it got a S2 so I guess wasn't well liked. Brits are boring like that, Dr Who notwithstanding.

The Tools and other D.I.Y bargains thread

This is the one I got.. I'm very non-diy so I don't even have any drilling jobs to do. So I tested it by drilling into an old brick. 8mm bit went in like nobody's business. I had to use hammer mode tho. I did a 6mm and 7mm without hammer mode - easy.

Thanks, I was actually thinking of that as a second option. Already have a 'proper' soldering iron so I'd be buying this just for the battery adapter.

Having just bought I can tell you - 200 more gets you the new model (Sans battery and charger tho). Less if you wait for a Takealot special. It's very nice.

Finally bought some Ingco stuff. Very happy so far. Question, anybody know if you get those drill battery adapters for Ingco - that let you use the battery to power other stuff? Like has a DC socket on it.
