I think the sim card that you are transferring to must have the tariff set to smartbroadband wireless prepaid (if it is prepaid) or it must be another data sim, then it will be able to receive the donated data. To transfer, I have used the telkom app and the website.
Second sim is inactive after being active since Friday, although there was no data. Both sim cards are inactive now. Probably one will wakeup to good news tomorrow.
First sim is still inactive, second sim is a prepaid. I am tired of calling telkom customer care. I have used Facebook plus sent so many emails to no solutions, except escalation talks with no feedback.
Just recieved the new sim from the courier. The wait for activation begins...
I wonder if I can simply use the rica.telkom.co.za site to activate it and if the turn around time will still be the same being 24 to 48 excluding weekends.

So I also have the same problem. The sim delivered last week Thursday failed to activate.
I just got an sms about a new sim card delivery which according to the call center will be active within 24 hours of receipt.
Anyone else got this sms?
